METRIC DRIVEN MIS

Metric Driven MIS – An overview

Small enterprises which are predominantly owner managed, have a team of trusted employees and time-tested processes. These companies would be technically strong and deep rooted in the system and will withstand tough times. They would have the potential to grow bigger. But lack of availability of information on time and the traditional set-up of the team would generally deter them from entering the bigger arena. These organizations would be predominantly “People-driven”.

  • COVID19 DISRUPTION: Owner managed companies underwent testing times. Apart from affecting financial health, pandemic also caused mobility issues during lockdown. Unlike bigger companies with ERP processes, basic functions such as invoicing, accounting and compliance had hiccups. Information was not available for timely decision making.
  • AUTOMATION DILEMA: In testing times, owners generally have a dilemma to move into ERP cloud. A complete automation for a small-sized company might have flip sides. Lack of trained staff, resistance, cost effectiveness and fear of losing control over time tested processes may be a few key pointers for not taking the big leap towards automation.
